The Department of Biomedical Engineering at the College of Engineering – Al-Nahrain University has achieved a remarkable academic accomplishment by ranking first among Biomedical Engineering departments in Iraqi universities across various specializations, including bio-mechanics, prosthetics and orthotics, and other medical engineering fields, according to the approved academic evaluation results (national ranking).

This excellence is the result of the continuous efforts of the department’s faculty and staff, their ongoing commitment to raising the scientific and research standards, developing curricula, and enhancing the quality of engineering education in accordance with the recognized national standards.

The College of Engineering, represented by Prof. Ayad Murad Tkhakh, and the Department of Biomedical Engineering, represented by Prof. Auns Qusay Hashim, affirm that this achievement serves as a motivation to continue diligent work and to strengthen the department’s leading position, in alignment with Al-Nahrain University’s vision for academic excellence and community service.
