On Tuesday, 25/11/2025, the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering welcomed its first-year students during an introductory event held in the Dijla Hall. The event was attended by the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Eyad Murad Takhakh, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Yaser Yaareb Qahtan, and the Head of the Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Fahd Muhannad Kazem.

The meeting opened with a welcoming speech delivered by the Dean, followed by remarks from the Head of the Department highlighting the importance of the specialization and its humanitarian and scientific role. Additionally, Lecturer Noor Basim Mohammed presented an overview of the department’s study program and the future opportunities available to students.

This event aimed to introduce students to the academic environment, laboratories, facilities, and the professional pathway of the specialization, as well as to strengthen communication between students and the teaching staff.
