The Department of Architecture – College of Engineering / Al-Nahrain University hosted the public defense of the master’s student Rafal Mofaq Noman for her thesis entitled:
“E-Governance and Its Impact on Urban Environment Regulation in Baghdad”
on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, in the Architecture Department Council hall.
The essential aim of the thesis is to analyze the impact of e-governance on improving the efficiency of urban environment organization in Baghdad, through the use of information technology and electronic systems in developing administrative processes and facilitating planning and construction procedures.
The most important conclusion drawn from the research is its clarification the pivotal role of e-governance in organizing the urban environment of Baghdad by adopting digital systems that enhance institutional integration, transparency, and decision-making efficiency. The research presents a balanced strategic vision based on a modern knowledge framework capable of guiding urban management toward effective organization that meets present needs and addresses future challenges.

After the scientific discussion and deliberation by the committee members, and upon reviewing the student’s defense and evaluation of the thesis, the student was awarded the Master’s degree in Architecture.
