The Department of Chemical Engineering at the College of Engineering held its first council meeting for the academic year 2025–2026, chaired by Asst. Prof. Dr. Abbas Abdul Kareem Mahmood, Head of the Department, and attended by the department’s rapporteur along with all council members.

The meeting addressed the department’s preparations for the new academic year, including the readiness of classrooms for undergraduate students, the distribution of postgraduate (M.Sc. and Ph.D.) research projects, and the discussion of the Bologna Process plan in line with the requirements of the university and the college. Furthermore, the council emphasized the enhancement of teaching methods and the advancement of postgraduate programs.

This meeting comes as part of the department’s commitment to strengthening the quality of education and scientific research, and to providing a distinguished academic environment that serves students and supports the progress of the scientific community.
