The research addressed the use of the capillary jump model to simulate airflow in the heat-absorbing porous medium inside a solar stove (practical application for sustainability) using the Darcy-Weisbach equation, benefiting from the capillary jump and its inclination impact due to the elongation of the porous medium model compared to its thickness. It was concluded that this method is computationally effective to approximate the effects of a porous medium without the need for engineering or optimizing the mesh within the porous structure.

The Al-Nahrain Prize is the highest and most prestigious award granted by the university in service of science and society, awarded at an annual celebration. The goal of launching this competition is to encourage those interested in scientific research fields to activate research topics in various sciences and contribute to highlighting the solid scientific identity of Al-Nahrain University and increasing the knowledge base, which helps develop human resources capable of facing internal and external challenges in a rapidly changing world. This is in belief by Al-Nahrain University of the university's teaching role in supporting the comprehensive scientific endeavor in Iraq and keeping up with the developments occurring in various fields of specialization.
