This study aims to present an enhanced model for segmenting pediatric left-hand X-ray images and predicting the child’s actual age, based on a modified version of the Tanner-Whitehouse method.
The model relies on the Faster R-CNN Mask to identify the Region of Interest (ROI), followed by age estimation using regression techniques.

The thesis was accepted as it fulfilled the requirements for obtaining the Master’s degree.
