The Department of Biomedical Engineering at the College of Engineering – Al-Nahrain University participated in the Sixth Scientific Conference on Electrical Engineering Technologies Research (EETR2025) through the contribution of Assistant Professor Dr. Anas Qusay Hashim, accompanied by Master's students Rafal Thamer Ibrahim and Israa Ghafil Ahmed, as well as Assistant Lecturer Dr. Mais Uday Abdul-Rasool, with the following research papers: Preliminary Design of a Novel Universal Frame for Multiple Head Fixation in Stereotactic Radiosurgery by Gamma Knife Icon Approaches in Gamma Knife Head Fixation: Reviewing HDMM, CBCT, and 3D Techniques Artificial Intelligence in Coronary Heart Disease Detection and Classification: A Comprehensive Review The conference aimed to promote scientific research and the exchange of expertise among researchers and academics in the fields of biomedical and electrical engineering and their modern applications, especially in medical, industrial, and biomedical sectors. The department’s participation, by presenting scientific research tackling important topics in biomedical engineering and addressing real societal challenges, reflects the advancement and significance of research activity, as well as the department's commitment to academic openness and engagement with scientific developments. The conference also provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen communication with researchers from various universities and institutions and to build future collaborations in research and development fields.
The researchers received certificates of appreciation for their participation in the medical devices and biomedical engineering track of the conference.
