In a distinguished academic atmosphere, the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the College of Engineering – Al-Nahrain University, under the esteemed patronage of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Iyad Murad Takhakh, and the direct supervision of the Head of the Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Anas Qusay Hashem, conducted the graduation project discussions for fifth-year students for the academic year 2024–2025. Specialized academic committees formed by the department’s project committee were assigned to evaluate the student projects. The discussions included student presentations of their projects before the committees. Most projects were innovative in nature, addressing advanced engineering solutions for biomedical problems. Topics ranged from the design and development of modern smart medical devices, artificial intelligence applications in medical image analysis, biological simulation models for treatment and rehabilitation, to IoT applications in healthcare. The committees praised the students' ability to integrate engineering knowledge with medical understanding, expressing pride in the high scientific and practical levels demonstrated in the projects. These achievements reflect the significant efforts of both students and supervisors.
These projects represent the culmination of five years of study and training, serving as a fundamental step in preparing students for the job market or postgraduate studies in biomedical engineering and the healthcare industry. Moreover, they mark a pivotal stage in the student’s academic journey, showcasing their capability to apply engineering knowledge to solve problems in the medical and biological fields.
