PhD Dissertation Defense of Student Fahad Basim Sadiq

The PhD student Fahad Basim Sadiq defended his dissertation at the Department of Biomedical Engineering on Thursday, April 24, 2025. His dissertation is entitled:

"A Scheme for Image Processing Uncertainty Reduction Based on Artificial Hybrid System"

The aim of the study is to present an enhanced model for brain MRI image segmentation and tissue classification. The hybrid model employs both Fuzzy C-Means clustering and the Dempster-Shafer Theory of Evidence to improve the accuracy of segmentation and tissue classification.

The dissertation was accepted as it fulfilled all the requirements for the award of the PhD degree.
