On Wednesday, April 30, 2025, Assistant Professor Dr. Farhan Ahmed
Khamas from the Department of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Engineering, College
of Engineering, University of Al-Nahrain, participated in the discussion
committee for the postgraduate diploma student, Colonel Engineer Qais Aziz
Jaloub, from the Higher Institute for Security and Administrative
Development, Iraqi Ministry of Interior, 32nd session, and obtained an
excellent grade for his research entitled: Employing Renewable Energy to Enhance the
Operational Efficiency of Security Institutions (Solar Energy as a Model) The thesis addressed solar energy and its
importance in enhancing electrical power, particularly in military systems,
which require a continuous, high-quality electrical supply to operate vital
equipment such as day and night surveillance cameras, radars, thermal imaging
cameras, and other devices that rely on continuous power. The discussion committee was headed by Professor Dr. (Adel
Hanoun Ayal) from the University of Technology / College of Engineering,
Department of Electromechanical Engineering, and the membership of Assistant
Professor Dr. (Farhan Ahmed Khammas) from the Department of Unmanned Aerial
Vehicle Engineering, College of Engineering, University of Al-Nahrain and
Assistant Professor Dr. (Ayser Munir Falih) from the University of
Baghdad, College of Engineering - Department of Mechanical Engineering. The
thesis was supervised by Professor Dr. (Dhamia
Saad Khader) from Al-Mustansiriya University / College of Engineering /
Department of Mechanical Engineering as an academic supervisor, and brigadier general Dr. Engineer (Muthanna Lafta Attia) from the
Police College / Ministry of Interior as a professional supervisor. The thesis
was scientifically evaluated by Assistant Professor Dr. (Basem Hamid Abboud)
from Al-Mustansiriya University / College of Engineering
