The Department of Biomedical Engineering at the College of Engineering, Al-Nahrain University, represented by the Head of the Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Anas Qusay Hashim, along with a group of faculty members — Dr. Samar Ali Jaber, Dr. Safa Laith Keilan, Dr. Mahmoud Hamid Majid, Dr. Reem Shaker Mahmoud, Dr. Noor Ali Sadiq, Assistant Lecturer Hamza Abbas Fadel, Assistant Lecturer Zaid Mustafa Khudair, Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Lateef Khudair Rahim, Assistant Lecturer Doaa Noufal Hazem, Assistant Lecturer Noor Basim Khalaf, Senior Engineer Nadia Ahmed Mohammed, Engineer Hadeer Moayad Mohammed, Engineer Mina Thamer Ibrahim, and Technician Atheed Alwan — welcomed a delegation from the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Al-Bayan University, as part of efforts to strengthen academic collaboration and exchange scientific expertise.

The visit included a tour of the department’s scientific facilities, classrooms, and educational laboratories, where a detailed explanation was provided about the department's history, academic programs, and research activities. The delegation was also introduced to the modern laboratories and testing equipment that serve students and researchers.

The objectives of the visit were to:

  • Review the curricula and teaching methods adopted by the department.

  • Exchange ideas on the development of academic programs to align with job market requirements.

  • Strengthen scientific and research relations between the two universities.

During the visit, the delegation toured key specialized laboratories, including:

  • Computer Laboratory

  • Anatomy and Physiology Laboratory

  • Electrical Circuits Laboratory

  • Tissue Laboratory

  • Biomaterials Laboratory

The teaching and technical staff provided a comprehensive overview of the equipment used, the mechanisms for conducting practical experiments, and the practical applications related to the academic curricula.

At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation from Al-Bayan University expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the warm reception and hospitality, emphasizing the importance of continuing such visits due to their positive impact on enhancing educational and research processes.
The visiting delegation also expressed admiration for the advanced level of the laboratories and praised the department’s efforts in providing a sophisticated scientific environment that helps equip students with essential practical skills.
