In light of the scientific cooperation among Iraqi universities, and with the aim of strengthening university education and enhancing students’ academic capabilities, the Department of Architecture—represented by Dr. Baneen Abdulkareem Hussein—participated on Monday, April 21, 2025, in the invitation to the discussion and evaluation committees of graduation projects for fifth-stage students in the Department of Architecture at the University of Technology.
The projects discussed included:
1. Baghdad Golf Club – by student Maryam Waleed Ali
2. Iraq Library – by student Fatima Haider Hameed
3. Baghdad Trade Center – by student Junaid Ahmed Salem
4. Academy of Fine Arts – by student Maryam Saad Ghareeb
5. Residential Complex for Ministry of Defense Officers – by student Mohammed Waleed Khalid
6. Specialized Eye Hospital – by student Somaya Issam
7. Business Bay – by student Junaid Ahmed Salem
The projects were marked by their diversity and the variety of ideas presented by the students, who showed a clear interest in developing constructive concepts that serve society, and in proposing projects aligned with the needs of government ministries. The students demonstrated seriousness through their use of modern systems to enrich their projects and make them more impactful. The supportive role of supervising professors and the department head was evident through their significant effort and close follow-up with the fifth-stage students, which was clearly reflected in the quality of their outcomes and the humane atmosphere that prevailed during the discussions.
We extend our best wishes to the staff of the Department of Architecture at the University of Technology for continued success and excellence
