The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Engineering at the College of Engineering, Al-Nahrain University, held a scientific workshop on Thursday, 24 April 2025, titled “Human Rights Amid the Rapid Advancement of Artificial Intelligence.” The session was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Nawres Hussein Abdullah.

During the workshop, the speaker examined the foremost ethical and legal challenges posed by modern AI technologies and highlighted mechanisms for harmonizing technological innovation with international conventions to safeguard fundamental rights and freedoms. The discussion also showcased successful global models for regulating AI use and concluded with practical recommendations for researchers and policy-makers working in legislation and public-policy design.
