A presentation of projects by third-year students from the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics was organized as part of the "Computer Applications" course under the supervision of Dr. Mustafa Kanaan. A group of students showcased their projects, which they were assigned to develop throughout the semester. The task involved selecting a concept related to prosthetics and orthotics and applying the skills acquired during the course using SolidWorks software. First- and second-year students attended the presentation to benefit from the experience and explore the innovative ideas and designs on display. In this course, students learn advanced SolidWorks commands, including how to create complex designs, analyze concepts, and use the program's tools in an integrated way to develop a fully realized model from an initial idea. The course aims to prepare students to produce realistic designs by the time they advance to the fourth year, which includes graduation projects.
This activity is designed to help students overcome hesitation and fear, and to encourage them to showcase their design abilities in a stimulating environment that promotes self-confidence and innovation in the field of prosthetics.
