Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Muhammad, Head of the Department of Drone Engineering at the College of Engineering / University of Nahrain, chaired a ministerial committee to consider the establishment of a master’s degree in robotics and automation engineering at the College of Engineering, University of Baghdad, on Thursday, April 17, 2025. All the fine details of the study were discussed, and the scientific and logistical capabilities provided by the department to create the specialization were reviewed. After deliberations that lasted from eight in the morning until one in the afternoon, praise be to God, approval was given to create a master’s degree in this specialization, and the committee’s recommendations were submitted to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. To obtain the necessary approvals to issue the ministerial order for this study, applications for this study will be available to students starting from the 2025-2026 academic year.
