Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering at Al-Nahrain University and the supervision of the Department of Architecture, a workshop entitled "National Policy for Supporting Energy and Reducing Emissions" was held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, in Dijla Hall at the College of Engineering, in cooperation with the Ministry of Electricity.

The workshop featured the following lecturers:

  • Prof. Dr. Suzan Abd Hassan, who delivered a lecture entitled "The Role of Legal Regulations and Work Flexibility in Supporting Energy Efficiency and Reducing Emissions."

  • Asst. Prof. Adel Zamel Muntad, who delivered a lecture entitled "The National Contribution Policy for Supporting Energy and Reducing Emissions."

The workshop addressed several key topics, including:

  • International and national commitments to mitigate the impacts of climate change.

  • The importance of developing legal frameworks to enhance energy efficiency and conservation.

  • Mechanisms for implementing national policies to balance emission reductions with economic growth.

The workshop aimed to:

  • Contribute to forming comprehensive and adaptable solutions for energy transfer.

  • Develop policies related to green architecture and energy conservation.

  • Strengthen collaboration across different sectors to achieve climate work flexibility.

The event was attended by a group of academics and specialists from universities and relevant engineering sectors. The concluding recommendations emphasized the need to activate environmental legislation and align national policies with international agreements to effectively address climate change challenges
