On the morning of Thursday, April 10, 2025, the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics at the College of Engineering – Al-Nahrain University organized an educational scientific workshop titled “From Caves to Robots”, held in Al-Nahrain Hall, with the attendance of several faculty members and students.

The workshop aimed to explore the historical development of human intelligence and its role in the journey of technological advancement, leading up to the age of artificial intelligence and robotics. A series of key topics were covered, including: The Dawn of Communication, Mechanical Ages, The First Steps of AI, The Power of Precision Engineering, and The Story of a Robot.

A group of students from the department presented the workshop’s segments using an interactive approach, supported by multimedia and engaging visual presentations.

The event also featured active participation from three student-led initiatives: #Connect, Acceleration, and The Archive. These groups contributed with insightful interventions highlighting the role of communication, knowledge, and historical technological evolution in shaping the future.

This workshop is part of a broader series of scientific and awareness-raising activities regularly organized by the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, with the goal of enhancing students’ understanding and refining their skills in advanced AI and robotics applications.
