The Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Engineering at the College of Engineering, Al-Nahrain University, Professor Dr. Wajdi Sadiq Abboud, participated in the university delegation that visited the National Cybersecurity Center at the Ministry of Interior.

During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the center’s technical and research capabilities and met with Brigadier General Dr. Hassan Hadi Latheeth, Director of the Center. The discussions focused on prospects for joint cooperation to enhance cybersecurity through knowledge exchange, the implementation of joint training programs, and the development of academic curricula, in addition to leveraging the university’s research and scientific resources to support the center’s activities.

The Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Engineering emphasized the importance of collaboration between academic and security institutions to keep pace with rapid technological advancements and to enhance the capabilities of students and researchers in addressing cybersecurity challenges. This cooperation is expected to have a positive impact on the advancement of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity sectors in Iraq.
