Mr. Elliott Mann, the Second Secretary of the Australian Embassy, visited the laboratories of the Chemical Engineering Department, accompanied by the Director of the Department of Missions and Cultural Relations at the University Presidency. They were welcomed by the Head of Chemical Engineering Department and several staff members, including faculty and engineers. The visit included a tour of the laboratories and practical experiments conducted by graduate students on climate change. The delegation praised the department’s laboratories. It is worth mentioning that the College of Engineering hosted a delegation from the Australian Embassy in Baghdad, led by the Second Secretary of the Australian Embassy, in a visit aimed at enhancing academic and research collaboration and discussing Iraq’s efforts in the fields of climate change, cybersecurity, and communications. They were received by the Vice President for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, several department heads concerned with these areas, and some faculty members. The visit emphasized the importance of opening the door for cooperation in these fields through direct scientific collaboration between our college and Australian universities.
