Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering and in the presence of the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs (Professor Dr. Nasir Aboud Issa Al-Haboubi), the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs (Professor Dr. Haitham Alaa Hussein) and the Head of the Civil Engineering Department (Assistant Professor Dr. Zuhair Khader Alawi), the Department of Civil Engineering held a workshop on Thursday 27/02/2025 entitled: "Enhancing Sustainability in Construction through the Use of Advanced Materials and Innovative Technologies" Given by (Professor Dr. Riyadh Al-Mahdi), an expert in construction engineering and sustainability and a faculty member at the Australian University of Swinburne, where the following was discussed:

Ø  Highlighting the latest developments in the field of sustainable construction.

Ø  Focusing on the role of advanced materials and modern technologies in reducing the environmental impact and enhancing the efficiency of buildings.

Ø  Reviewing applied models for the use of advanced materials and modern technologies in several engineering projects.

This workshop aims to transfer knowledge and enhance scientific research in the field of sustainable engineering in line with scientific developments in this vital sector. At the end of the workshop, the efforts of (Professor Dr. Riyadh Al-Mahdi) were appreciated, as he was granted a certificate of appreciation by the Dean of the College of Engineering.
