The Chemical Engineering Department at Al-Nahrain University conducted the MSC thesis defense for the student Saif Ali Amjour on his dissertation titled: "A Comparative Study for the Production of Lubricating Grease using Recycled and Fresh Lubricating Oil." The defense took place in the Department of Chemical Engineering Council Hall at the College of Engineering on Thursday, February 6, 2025. The examination committee consisted of the following members and their respective affiliations: Prof. Dr Venus Majeed Hameed, College of Engineering, Al-Nahrain University, Chair Asist. Prof. Dr Tariq Mohammed Naif, College of Engineering, University of Baghdad, Member Dr. Shahad Zuhair Atta, College of Engineering, Al-Nahrain University, Member Prof. Khalid Mukhlif Mousa, College of Engineering, Al-Nahrain University, Supervisor Additionally, the thesis was scientifically evaluated by the first scientific reviewer, Prof. Dr Ramzi Sayhood Hamid, University of Technology, Department of Petroleum and Gas Engineering, and the second scientific reviewer, Asist. Prof. Dr Salim Mohammed Obaid, Al-Farabi University College, while the linguistic evaluation was performed by Asist. Prof. Dr Abbas Abdul Karim Mahmoud, Al-Nahrain University, College of Engineering. The research titled "A Comparative Study for the Production of Lubricating Grease using Recycled and Fresh Lubricating Oil" involved a comparative study in the production of lubricating grease from fresh Iraqi base oils and grease produced from recycled base oils. All necessary physical and chemical tests were conducted on both the lubricating oils and the manufactured greases. The thesis was accepted with an overall grade of "Very Good," as it met the requirements for obtaining the MSc degree.
