Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Jumaa Salman Jiyad, the Department of Architecture at Al-Nahrain University is organizing the Second Symposium on "Sustainability of Earthen Architecture" on Sunday, February 16, 2025.

This event is part of the collaborative project "The Legacy Babylon: Capacity Building in the Conservation of Traditional Construction Craft", which involves Al-Nahrain University, Karbala University, and the University of Cagliari (Italy), with the support of the World Monuments Fund and the State Board of Antiquities and Heritage.

The department will host a delegation from the University of Cagliari (Italy) along with experts in modern techniques of earthen architecture.

The event will also include the exchange of signed copies of the Memorandum of Understanding between Al-Nahrain University and the University of Cagliari.
