The Department of Biomedical Engineering at Al-Nahrain University, under the guidance of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Juma Salman Jiyad, and supervised by the Head of the Biomedical Engineering Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Anas Qusay Hashim, organized a scientific workshop in collaboration with Al-Karkh University of Science, Department of Energy and Environment. The workshop was titled:
“Green Education and Sustainable Development: A Gateway to a Better Future.”

The workshop was presented by:

• Dr. Sarah Ashour Al-Saadi, Lecturer at Al-Nahrain University, College of Engineering.
• Dr. Muad Abdullah Hussein, Lecturer at Al-Karkh University of Science, Department of Energy and Environment.

The workshop addressed the goals of sustainable development, tools for green education, and scientific and cultural proposals for implementing these goals, focusing on educational and environmental green initiatives. Local and global examples of sustainable education plans were also discussed.

The event concluded with constructive feedback and plans provided by the Dean of the College of Engineering and the assistants, emphasizing the importance of sustainable development goals and strategies for implementing them in social, cultural, and environmental contexts.
