Assistant Lecturer Noor Ali Sadiq from the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Al-Nahrain University, College of Engineering, participated in the 6th International Scientific Conference titled “Modern Science and Technology: Foundations for Ensuring Community Development and Energy Utilization”. The conference was organized by the Scientific and Technological Studies Unit of the Northern European Academy of Science and Research in Denmark, in cooperation with various universities and research institutions, and held in Duhok, Iraq, from October 23 to October 27, 2024.

During the conference, the representative from Al-Nahrain University presented a research paper titled:

“Iraqi Retinal Fundus Diabetic Retinopathy Dataset (IRFDRD)”

In recognition of her work, Noor Ali Sadiq was awarded the Medal of Scientific Excellence. This research is the first in Iraq to compile data on diabetic retinopathy among Iraqi patients. The dataset is currently available on a global repository (GitHub) and is freely accessible to researchers interested in early diagnosis of diabetic retinopathy using artificial intelligence techniques.
