The Biomedical Engineering Department, under the generous patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Jumaa Salman Jiyad, organized a scientific visit for fifth-year students (Group B), led by a distinguished group of faculty members from the department, headed by Prof. Dr. Jamal Abdul Jabbar Hassan, to Al-Fallujah Teaching Hospital. This visit was part of the framework for scientific collaboration and aimed to enhance students' knowledge in the field of medical devices. The hospital director, Dr. Iyad Al-Nada, along with the engineering staff, welcomed the students and guided them through the hospital's various departments. The faculty engineers accompanying the students included: The visit began with an introductory lecture on the hospital and its departments by biomedical engineer Abdullah Humaidan. The tour included visits to the endoscopy clinic for the stomach and colon, the lithotripsy unit, the spiral CT scanner, the MRI machine, and the open-heart surgery and cardiac catheterization operating rooms. The visit concluded with a meeting with the hospital director, during which thanks and appreciation were expressed for the warm reception, along with discussions about the possibility of opening doors for further scientific and research collaboration between both parties.
