The Department of Biomedical Engineering at the College of Engineering, Al-Nahrain University, organized a scientific visit to Al-Imamain Al-Kadhimain Medical Hospital on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. A group of faculty members from the Department of Biomedical Engineering participated in the visit, including Assistant Professor Dr. Rana Ibrahim Mahmoud, Dr. Basma Abdul Sahib Faihan, Dr. Mais Uday Abdul Rasool, Dr. Reem Shakir Mahmoud, Lecturer Faten Imad Ali, Assistant Lecturer Noor Ali Sadiq, and Engineer Hadeer Moayad Mohammed. They were accompanied by fifth-year students (Group A) from the Biomedical Engineering Department.

During the visit, the students toured various hospital departments, including the educational laboratories, the dialysis department, the engineering consultancy department, the emergency department, the intensive care units, respiratory resuscitation wards, and the administrative department. These visits are of great importance for linking the theoretical aspects of the hospital design course with practical applications, helping to build an engineering mindset in the students.
