The Department of Biomedical Engineering at Al-Nahrain University, following the directives of the esteemed Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Jumaa Salman Jiyad, organized a specialized workshop to discuss the fourth standard of quality assurance and continuous improvement. The workshop was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Asil Mohammed Ali Hussein and was titled:

"Criteria 4: Continuous Improvement Course Assessment."

The workshop primarily focused on evaluating and analyzing student performance and curricula according to the fourth standard of quality assurance, which aims for continuous improvement in the educational process. It included detailed explanations on how to assess graduates' outcomes using accredited measurement tools, providing a comprehensive analysis of student performance across various academic and practical aspects, with an emphasis on the role of these standards in enhancing educational levels and developing curricula to align with global requirements.

Additionally, the workshop provided an overview of the application of this standard within the curricula and how to conduct periodic analyses of results to ensure continuous development of educational outcomes. The importance of obtaining feedback from students and graduates was emphasized to ensure that academic programs meet the demands of the modern job market and ongoing technological advancements, effectively aiding in the development of human competencies.

A group of faculty members from the department attended the workshop, engaging in in-depth discussions on how to implement these standards in their courses to ensure continuous improvement in the educational process. They also exchanged ideas on best practices for applying quality standards in teaching, contributing to raising the academic performance level and ensuring the quality of academic outcomes that meet market needs.
