Students from the Department of Biomedical Engineering participated in the Chess Championship, which was part of the activities organized by the Student Activities Office at Al-Nahrain University for the first semester of the academic year 2024-2025. The students of the Biomedical Engineering department had a distinguished presence as members of the College of Engineering team in the university chess championship, where the College of Engineering team won by a narrow margin of one point against their competitors from the College of Medicine.

The members of the College of Engineering team included: Abdullah Hazem Qaddour (Biomedical Engineering), Zahra Alaa Hussein (Biomedical Engineering), Ali Hamel Hassan (Biomedical Engineering), and Rabi Sabaa (Computer Engineering). This championship, along with other mental competitions, is considered part of extracurricular activities that receive support, attention, and encouragement from the esteemed Dean to motivate students to participate and develop their mental skills.
