Assistant Professor Dr. Rana Ibrahim Mahmoud, a faculty member in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, participated as a member of the committee for the PhD defense of the student Noor Jaafar Jabbar in the Department of Biology, College of Science, University of Baghdad. The title of the thesis was:

"Molecular Study of Some Species of Eucalyptus L’He’r Grown in Iraq."

The committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Israa Abdul Razzaq Majeed, with membership from Assistant Professor Dr. Israa Kareem Nasrallah, Assistant Professor Dr. Ansam Ghazi Abdul Haleem, Assistant Professor Dr. Nihad Taha Mohammed, and Assistant Professor Dr. Rana Ibrahim Mahmoud. The thesis was supervised by Prof. Dr. Naemat Jameel Abdul Baqi and Dr. Labeeb Ahmed Kadhim as a member and supervisor. The public defense took place in the hall of Prof. Dr. Raad Al-Mulla in the Department of Biology on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, and the student received an "Excellent" grade.
