The Department of Biomedical Engineering at the College of Engineering - Al-Nahrain University, following the directives of the esteemed President of Al-Nahrain University, Professor Dr. Ali Abdul Aziz Al-Shawi, and under the generous patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Juma Salman Jiyad, and with the direct supervision and attendance of the Head of the Biomedical Engineering Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Anas Qusay Hashim, along with a group of department professors including Prof. Dr. Jamal Abdul Jabbar Hassan, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sadiq Jaafar Abbas, Dr. Mais Uday Abdul Rasul, Dr. Basma Abdul Sahib Fayhan, Dr. Mona Mustafa Karim, Dr. Hussein Abdul Jabbar, Dr. Reem Shaker Mahmoud, Ms. Faten Emad Ali, Asst. Lecturer Hamza Abbas Fadel, Asst. Lecturer Arkan Saad Mohammed Raouf, Asst. Lecturer Zaid Mustafa Karim, Asst. Lecturer Ahmed Latif Khaderaham, and Asst. Lecturer Doaa Nofal Hazem, in addition to fifth-year students, organized a scientific visit to the Baghdad International Book Fair on Thursday, 19/9/2023, at the halls of the Baghdad International Fair.

This visit is part of the department’s efforts to broaden the horizons of knowledge, enhance students’ cultural awareness, and encourage them to take an interest in reading, researching information, and selecting books and scientific and engineering resources that benefit both students and faculty.

The visit included an informative tour of the exhibition, during which students reviewed books and modern medical devices displayed in the exhibition's halls, selecting sources that provide scientific value to the department. After discussions and consultations with professors, a collection of books was purchased, with generous support and ongoing efforts from the Dean of the College of Engineering, for the benefit of the department and college. These resources will be preserved for future generations.
