الرؤية:يتطلع قسم هندسة الطب الحياتي في
السنوات القادمة إلى أن يكون مؤسسة أكاديمية وبحثية رائدة ومتميزة على المستويين
الوطني والإقليمي، قادرة على إحداث تأثير إيجابي وملموس في قطاع التعليم العالي
والخدمات الصحية والصناعية. ويسعى القسم إلى تطوير بيئة علمية متكاملة تعتمد على
الإبداع والابتكار والبحث العلمي الرصين، وتشجع على التنافسية الفكرية والتفاعل
الخلّاق بين الطلبة والتدريسيين والباحثين. كما يطمح القسم إلى بناء شراكات
استراتيجية مع الجامعات العالمية والمراكز البحثية والشركات الطبية والصناعية
لتبادل الخبرات وتطوير الحلول التكنولوجية الحديثة التي تعالج مشكلات المجتمع
الصحية وتلبي متطلبات سوق العمل.ويضع القسم ضمن أولوياته إعداد جيل من
الخريجين المتميزين، المؤهلين علمياً ومهنياً وأخلاقياً، والقادرين على مواكبة
التطورات المتسارعة في العلوم الهندسية والطبية والتكنولوجية، والمساهمة بفاعلية
في قيادة عجلة التغيير والتنمية في العراق والمنطقة، بما يعزز مكانة القسم كصرح
علمي رائد يربط بين المعرفة النظرية والتطبيق العملي لخدمة الإنسان والمجتمع.
Vision:
In
the coming years, the Biomedical Engineering Department aspires to become a
pioneering and distinguished academic and research institution at the national
and regional levels, capable of making a tangible and positive impact on higher
education, healthcare services, and the biomedical industry. The department
seeks to develop an integrated scientific environment that embraces creativity,
innovation, and rigorous research, while fostering intellectual competitiveness
and dynamic interaction among students, faculty, and researchers.
The
department also aims to establish strategic partnerships with international
universities, research centers, and biomedical companies to exchange expertise
and develop cutting-edge technological solutions that address healthcare
challenges and meet the evolving demands of the labor market. Preparing a new
generation of graduates who are scientifically, professionally, and ethically
qualified is one of the department’s top priorities. These graduates will be
capable of keeping pace with rapid advances in engineering, medical sciences,
and modern technologies, while actively contributing to driving change and
development in Iraq and the region.
Through
this vision, the department positions itself as a leading academic pillar that
effectively bridges theoretical knowledge with practical applications,
ultimately serving humanity and advancing the well-being of society.

القسم:يهدف قسم هندسة الطب الحياتي في جامعة
النهرين إلى إعداد كوادر هندسية مؤهلة تجمع بين مبادئ الهندسة والعلوم الطبية من
أجل خدمة المجتمع والقطاع الصحي. يسعى القسم إلى تمكين طلبته بالمعرفة النظرية
والمهارات العملية التي تؤهلهم لتصميم وتطوير وتشغيل وصيانة الأجهزة والأنظمة
الطبية الحديثة، بما يسهم في تحسين تشخيص الأمراض وجودة العلاج والرعاية الصحية.
كما يلتزم القسم بالبحث العلمي التطبيقي الذي يعالج تحديات طبية واقعية بالتعاون
مع الأطباء والمؤسسات الصحية، وبذلك يكون المستفيد الأساسي من رسالة القسم هم
المرضى، والكوادر الطبية، والمؤسسات الصحية، إضافة إلى مساهمته في دعم مسيرة
التطوير العلمي والتكنولوجي في العراق.
The
Department of Biomedical Engineering at Al-Nahrain University is dedicated to
preparing qualified engineers who integrate engineering principles with medical
sciences to serve both the community and the healthcare sector. The department
equips its students with solid theoretical knowledge and practical skills that
enable them to design, develop, operate, and maintain advanced medical devices
and systems, thereby improving disease diagnosis, treatment quality, and
patient care.
In
addition, the department is committed to applied research that addresses real
medical challenges in collaboration with physicians and healthcare
institutions. The primary beneficiaries of this mission are patients,
healthcare professionals, and medical institutions, while also contributing to
the advancement of scientific and technological development in Iraq.

PEO-1: Technical Solution Development
Graduates will design, develop, and implement innovative
biomedical engineering solutions, including medical devices, diagnostic
systems, and healthcare technologies.
PEO-2: Professional Standards & Ethics
Graduates will demonstrate ethical practice, uphold
professional responsibility, and maintain high-quality standards in the
development and application of medical technologies.
PEO-3: Leadership & Collaboration
Graduates will effectively lead and collaborate within
multidisciplinary teams across healthcare, research, and industrial
environments.
PEO-4: Continuous Learning & Innovation
Graduates will engage in lifelong learning, professional
development, and continuing education to remain current with technological
advancements and to advance biomedical engineering knowledge and applications.
PEO-5: Healthcare Systems Engineering
Graduates will analyze healthcare needs and implement
effective solutions through requirements engineering, quality assurance
processes, and evidence-based practices.
PEO-6: Professional Advancement
Graduates will pursue further study, specialized training,
and meet the academic and professional requirements necessary for obtaining
engineering licensure, ensuring competence and recognition as professional
engineers.
