Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Engineering is a promising ​discipline that is experiencing increasing growth, which creates investment opportunities and meets market requirements, as drones can be used in various sectors including industry, agriculture and community service. The College of Engineering at Al-Nahrain University offers a Bachelor's program in UAV Engineering as part of its advanced and modern programs, the department was established in 2024 to be an advanced scientific and research center in the field of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle.

The program lasts for four years, during which students are provided with multidisciplinary skills and competencies related to UAV Engineering, including designing, manufacturing, developing and building drones, including operating, control, communication, computer and artificial intelligence systems. The program is supported by practical and training hours appropriate to the hybrid specialization and with significant contributions from the relevant college departments. The program represents a proactive step by the College of Engineering at Al-Nahrain University to keep pace with scientific progress and development and to meet the growing market need for the specialization.
